Working closely with local mining communities, they developed an exceptional understanding of sapphire formation, gemstone quality, and the unique characteristics that have made Ceylon sapphires among the world's most sought after precious gemstones.
Building upon this legacy, the second generation transformed the family business in the 1980s into an international wholesale coloured gemstone enterprise, expanding from its deep roots in Sri Lanka to source exceptional natural gemstones from respected regions including Thailand, Myanmar, Madagascar, Mozambique and Tanzania, while developing trusted relationships with ethical miners, collectors and reputable suppliers to provide internationally renowned jewellers, dealers, manufacturers and collectors with carefully selected Ceylon sapphires, rubies, emeralds, spinels, tourmalines, garnets, aquamarines and other rare coloured gemstones chosen to uncompromising quality standards.
The third generation began building relationships within the Australian jewellery industry in the late 2000s, supplying exceptional natural coloured gemstones to respected jewellers, designers, and manufacturers. Through these trusted partnerships, the family developed a strong understanding of the Australian market, guided by quality, integrity, and generations of gemstone expertise.
